TGIF! This has to be one of the longest running weeks in history for me. What ever I touched went all to hell.

At least now I have some good news. I have been one of the lucky ladies to be joining the DT for Sew Many Cards and today is my first challenge. We are also having a blog hop on May 3rd! So mark you calander and be sure to join in the fun.

So on to today challenge. We would like for you to make easle cards, now how easy is that! Split Coast Stampers has a great tutorial on this.

On this card I have used Owen in a flower pot. I cut two images out to give him a little pop. The papers I have used are from Close To My Heart. On head on over to SMC and see all the other talented ladies cards and get some inspiration. Then join in and play! Have a fantastic weekend!

OSAAT Fathers Day Challenge Revised

Good morning. I am currently having internet problems. So this will be extremly short. This week over at OSAAT the challenge is to do a card for dad.

I will make sure that when we go for Easter dinner I will fix this post up properly. So for now have a happy Easter. Untill later.

Okay so now its later, and I am at work. Our internet provider was down, cause it was down at my parents as well.

So this week I got to play with a stamp from Toucan Scraps. Its is so beautiful! It just perfect for my father in law, his nick name is Rooster and they collect everything "Rooster". So this is the card he get this year to tell him he is loved. The paper is also from Tucan Scraps. I have fallen in love with digital papers, they are so versitile and so easy to print from home.

Color Challenge

This week over at CR84FN is a beautiful color challenge. Here is the inspiration image:

Think of all the possibilities......I know that I had so many ideas running through my head it took me over two hours to finally get this card finished. So on to the card. All the paper is digital. The printed paper is a freebie I got from Melstampz. And the Pink is from TwoPeas, its by DRD~Happy together solid paperpack. To make the lace trim I used a Martha Stewart punch. The Happy Mothers Day sentiment is from CTMH. The ribbon and pearls are also from CTMH.

These fantastic flowers I made from scraps of the pink paper. I followed a ribbon flower tutorial but used the scrap paper instead. Make sure that if you try this to break down the paper fibers. I also used some Stickles on them to give them a little shine.

New Baby OSAAT Sunday Challenge

Good Sunday morning , hope everyones weekend is going well. I have spent mine making wedding invitations, its crunch time for me as they need to get to my client by Monday.
On to the reason for todays post, it time for a new challenge over at One Stitch At A Time. This weeks challenge is new baby, which happens to be just in time as one of our friends just had a baby girl this week. Our wonderful sponsor this week is The Stamping Boutique. On to my card for this fab challenge. So I tied my hand at making a oval easel card. I go to use Mom to Be stamp by Reeces Scrap Peices . What a cute set , here is a preveiw of it. I only used the crib as the baby has already arrived. I colored it with my pc. The "Little Angle" stamp is from CTMH as is the doily stamp.

This cute little flower I made myself. I found a video online on how to make your own ribbon flowers, I used paper instead. I think it worked out just fine.

Princess Crowns

I have been MIA for far too ling now, but I have still been crafting away. I will start uploading all of my newest creations. For now I have these cute Princess crowns. My daughter has requested a princess birthday, so when I started to look for stuff for her party I found it was all incredibly expensive. So I turned to the internet and found multiple ideas on how to make tiaras. Most of them were paper, but I did find this site called Thread Bangers . The tutorial is incredibly easy to follow, and the cost to make these is very minimal. If I had to price out one of these cute crowns I would say maybe $0.50 tops. I got cheap head bands, 14 for $10. I got a bucket of beads from our local craft store for $7 and the floral wire was $3. I have tons of bead and wire and head bands left over. So here is the first of multiple "things" that I am doing for my daughters birthday. I will post more as I get them finished. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Happy 40th Birthday!!!!

I made this for a girlfriends 40th Birthday today. I found the tutorial for this card at On the Bright Side!. Super easy to follow and very quick to put together.
The paper I used is a textured piece from DCWV Main Street Stack. The digi is also printed on textured card stock. The digi is from Sew Many Cards, it called Oliver Celebrates. The ribbon is from my stash. I used pop dots on the wings, beak, feet, and the balloon to give him a little dimension.

One more Christmas card. This time I used a digi called Three hanging Stockings you can get here. I used brads as the hooks. The firts layer on the digi I colored with the computer. Man that was a long "adventure". My hat off to those of you that do that. It is a true test of patients. The second layer of the stockings are colored with stickels and with water color pencils. I used a stampin up sentiment. The paper is from a 6x6 stack that I just bought and lost. LOL

I couldn't sleep last night so I decided that I should get a move on with my Christmas cards, so here is one of three. I will upload the others after we go grocery shopping. This card I lifted from a dear friend of mine. On Niks original card she had red as her accent color and a different font for JOY. The snow flurry stamp is from CTMH. It a very clean and simple card, but I love it! And it took a total of 15 minutes to make with cutting the letters. So this is the perfect are when your in a pinch.

Good day! Hope everyone has been fabulous. I have been taking some time off due to sickness running through our house once again. I sure hope that this isn't a sneak peek at what is to come this winter.

When I picked up my daughter from the sitters on Friday she had got her first birthday party invite. She is so excited! As hard as it was to go shopping with her we has to find the perfect gift, that both the birthday girl gets as well as my daughter. Any how, this is the card we made for her.

Lets Celebrate!

I "tried" to make a circle card using my cricut, it didn't work out so well, but here it is. This lovely digi Teddy with Scarf, is from Stampin Dragon, avaiable at Stitchy Bear and I did it Creations Boutique. He is so versatile, he works great for Christmas but also he would be great on a baby card or maybe even a valentines card/layout. I colored him with my CTMH water color pencils. The noel stamp is also from CTMH. The paper is new, but I didn't save the end that tells you who makes it. SORRY! The ribbon I got at Michaels. The pearls are from the local dollar store. I did no techniques, nothing different besides trying for a circle card. I will have to try that again.

Pink Birthday

Good Monday morning! The sun is shining and it is suppose to be a beautiful day here today. I am thinking that it might be a good day for the park. Embellish it at OSAAT

Good Sunday morning! Hope that your weekend has been fabulous. Mine is turning out to be grand! The hubby and I are off to the tattoo convention today, I can't wait. We missed it last year so I am hoping to come home with some new ink. Cross our fingers. Any how on to the really reason for this post. Its Sunday and that means a new challenge over at OSAAT. This week our challenge to you is to embellish it with you favorite things. So here is my creation:

So this paper is a digital paper by JLJ Design, available here at Stitchy Bear & I did it Creations Crafting Boutique. I have to tell you that after making this purse card I have a totally new respect for digi papers. They are fantastic, when I messed it up the first few times with the cutting I didn't have to decide on a new paper or run to the store to purchase another piece. I am so hooked now! Just wish I had a 12 x 12 printer.

I did faux stitching around the edges of the purse, and apparently forgot to do the bottom. LOL. I took just a black piece of card stock and glued it to the center then add some beautiful lace. I used Velcro dot to keep the purse close. I made the flower and used a button stamp for the center. I added pearls all around the purse to give it that little bit of bling with out distracting from the gorgeous paper. So there it is, hope you all have enjoyed my ramblings, sorry. Christmas Card Swap

On October 23 I am hosting a Christmas Card Swap, kinda like a cookie exchange. There will be about 20 gals gathering to make Christmas cards, eat, chat, and just have fun in general. I have prizes and challenges to go on. There will also be a Stampin UP! demonstrator there as well. I can't wait!

So here are a couple of my example to show the gals to help get there creative juices flowing.

This card I used a heart punch to make the wreath, some ribbon and a hand written sentiment. That part didn't turn out so well cause I used textured paper.

This is my non traditional card. I love to used non Christmas colors on my Christmas card. The sentiment is from Close to my Heart, as are the snow flakes. Really all product is. I added a little BLING on the snowflakes to give them a little dimension.

Last but not least. And definitely not last on my list of too do's. This I think is my fave. I stamped a couple of charistmas balls on to a sheet of paper then scanned them into my pc, so that I could resize them to fit my card. Then stamps are both from CTMH as is the paper. The border punch is from Martha Stewart.

Off Sick

Hello everyone. I hope everyone has been good. We have gone on sick leave here for a few weeks, know I think we have finally kicked it. Knock on wood. So I have had a little time to scrap in the last few nights. And here is one of my creations.

Look I even finished the inside! So the digi is from Karens Doodles, a freebie I found. I colored it with my CTMH water color pencils. All the paper is from Shabby Princes as is the quote on the outside. I fastened it on with a couple of copper brads. The quote on the inside is form on the net. I used a sketch I got off a blog, but I'm not sure whos. Sorry! I made this card for friends who invited us over for Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday. EXCELLENT! He is a chef, and she is a genius in the kitchen. I love not having to cook when I am sick. It has been so nice too be back, and I promise I will have a few more posts up in the next few days. OSAAT Challenge

Good Sunday morning! I hope that everyone enjoyed World Card making day. I was unable to get into my scrap room do to a sick kiddo, and unfortuantely she is still sick. So it is our Halloween theme over at OSAAT. I had the opportunity to use JLJ Designs for my calendar. You can grab the papers and the image here as well as all the other Halloween release. I love the ghost and the DSP are amazing. The orange paper has sparkle it almost looks like fabric. I found a blank calendar template on about.com, so really this was a very easy project for me. All the hard work was done for me, all I had to do was figure out how to put it together. I have to say I love this challenge, this is my favorite time of year and I love everything about Halloween. First of all I am so sorry that this is sooo late! We went to the football game last night and got home about 1 am this morning and doing a post was the last thing on my mind. We took our two year old daughter with us so all I was thinking about was BED! Then this morning I am having internet issues. When it rains it pours. Lil Lolita Digi!!!!

How's it going? Todays been a flurry of work,home,work, fight with daughter,dinner, fight with daughter, put daughter to bed, scary way monsters, put daughter back to bed. So after all this I decided that a good way to wind down would be to read a book. BUT I had to check e-mail first, which in turn made me want to scrap, cause I got my new Lil Lolita digi(you can find it here)!!!! I am so glad that Tickled Pink Stamps decided to bring back the digi for these stamps. My collection will continue to grow, I have two rubber stamps and this one digi. I hope to get the full collection. We shall see. Any who on to the card. I colored the image with my CTMH water color pencils. The frame is from my cricut expression, Cindy Loo.The dsp is from DCWV Mainstreet stack. The buttons are from CTMH as is the ribbon. I used liquid glass on the flourish along with some glitter. Hello to one and all, I hope the weekend was good. It rained the whole time here, but that meant that house work got done, and a belated birthday card. I made this card for a co-worker who thought she was being sneaky and not mentioning that she had a birthday on Friday. Oh I forgot to mention that her son walked into work and gave her a birthday card. The cats out of the bag now. Okay so on to the card. The black CS is Bazzill Basics, the DSP is from DCWV All Dressed UP stack, the digi is from Kenny K, and the crown I made on mu Cricut expressions. Hello, hope th beginning of the week is treating you right. So I spent my day at work blog hopping and found a great blog, Mel Stampz. Thats where I got the link to this great tutorial for the purse. It was super easy to do, and on Mel Stampz she has the corner pieces as well as the strap pieces. You will see a couple of different styles of purses in the next couple of weeks from me. Anyway I used a flourish stamp set that I got in a box of stuff and I used close to my heart grey flannel ink, baby pink big brads, baby pink cs, and grey flannel cs.

I found this to be slightly challenging, mainly the butterfly.

The digi is called Bumblebrella, isn't she cute? You can get her over at Stichy Bear Stamps. This stamp is created by Stichy. I colored Bumblebrella and the butterfly with Close to My Heart water color pencils. The butterfly I drew and cut out. I used stickles on the wings of the digi and the flower. I had to make a condolence card for one of my hubbies work associates. The stamp is from StichyBear & I did it Crating Boutique. I knew that this angle was just what I was looking for the minute I set eyes on him. I used a transparent frame over top of him. The rickarack is from Close to My Heart. Hello, hope everyone's weekend was just wonderful! I know that mine sure was. I was finally sunny and warm yesterday, so my daughter and I played at the park most of the day.
Okay so on to the post. Over at the Crafty Sentiments blog they have a color challenge going on. Light blue, olive and tan. And over at the Cupcake Craft Challenge blog they have a 2's challenge going on. 2 ribbons, 2 buttons and 2 dsp.

On this card I used Flopsy with a flower, thanks to winning the first challenge over at Crafty Sentiments Digis blog. Oh by the way I so love Flopsy! I colored him with Close to My Heart water pencils the used my blending pen to soften the image. I use olive and desert sand card stock form Close to My Heart. The light blue dsp is from topstich paper pack from CTMH, and the other dsp is just a scrap from all those pieces hidden away in stash. ( I do love to horde my paper. LOL ) I used a Martha Stewart punch on the green strip in side. I also made the two flowers using the tutorial I talked about a couple posts back. The two little heart buttons are also from CTMH.
I have to say that I love easel cards. They are the nicest card to display and the easiest. They are super fun to make as well. There is a great tutorial over a Split Coast Stamper. Have a great evening! Thanks for stopping in!

Sorry the pics are backwards! My brother and sister in laws are gonna have a baby girl in the fall and when I went shopping the other day I found these DSP and baby card came to mind. For me to actually use paper like this and not horde it away is quite amazing.
So this is my entry for Taylored Expression sketch challenge 124. It seemed to call my name when I was thinking of how to put this card together.
The DSP is from imaginisce. The images are from Close to my Heart stamp set Flower Child and the card stock is also from CTMH. I used the tutorial from Crafty Sentiments Digi for making my own flower. The ribbon in from Walmart. So thanks for taking a peek!

Hand Made Flowers

So I went on over to Crafty Sentiments Digis this morning and found this most wonderful tutorial for hand made flowers. So easy! I don't have the same punch that was used so I used my Cricut. The flower petals are cut further apart but I think that it still turned out just great. I just have to say that its a fab tutorial by Bev. Go on and check it out!!!

Favorite Burton Film

Good morning to all. Hope the weekend is wonderful for everyone, unfortunately I had to turn on the furnace last night and its still on this morning. It feels like late October not early August.
Okay enough complaining about the crappy weather on to the card. I made this card for my husband for our anniversary next week and I seen the challenge on The Burtonesque Dolls.
So for this challenge they want your favorite Burton film. The Nightmare Before Christmas is my daughters favorite and it fit for my anniversary card. I found a pic of a quilt on-line that had Jack and Sally looking at one another in a heart, so I took that idea and I drew the main image. Not quite an exact but I think its okay. I colored the image with CTM (this will link to my Close to My Heart dealer.) water color pencils. The card stock is also from CTM its black and tulip. The dsp is from DCWV All Dressed UP stack. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the lace. I distressed the card with my scissors and ink., and added stickels to the flower centers and the heart. So there it is, thanks for stopping by. You're Late, You're Late, You're Late!

This is my card for the Alice in wonderland challenge. As you might be able to tell its an all white challenge, except for you main image. I thought it only wise with this challenge to use the White Rabbit. He is a free digital brush I found online somewhere. Sorry that I can't remember where. I used a Martha Stewart Punch for the doily pattern paper. I used some paper that was already embossed for the background, not sure where I got that either. Kinda a running theme tonight! I made the flower out of scraps, and I colored the white rabbit with Close to My Heart water color pencils. So now that I have had my Wonderland adventure I'm off to bed. This is my entry for the Crafty Sentiment Digi challenge. Its a pretty straight forward challenge, you must have a tag. So I used the Boo Bear digi I won on the blog hop. Thanks again for that, I love Pat and Boo Bear! All the papers are just scraps, the ribbon is from Close to My Heart. I colored Boo with my CMH water color pencils, and used pop dots under him. So todays challenge at Craft Your days away is all about your favorite things. Well two of my favorite things are my family, and crafting. What a great way to put them both together. I loved this challenge! Most of the things used in this layout are random things from my stash. The paper flowers are from Creative Memories, and the pink ribbon is from the rick-a-rack collection from Close to my Heart. The black paper is also from Close to My Heart, its textured. I used my Cricut Expression Story Book Cartridge to cut out the black mat as well as the word family. Well thanks to everyone for stopping in to see my new creation.

Hi everyone, hope your summer is going well. Our weather has been kinda cold so I was able to get in a challenge. This tag is for the heart 2 heart challenge. I used the Cherry-o paper pack. Once again I have to say that this is my new fave paper! I used a stamp of the month from the Spring Catalog, and I do apologize I don't know what its called, for the flower. I distressed the cream cs and the dsp with cocoa ink. The rub on is just from my stash, a random one that I don't know. Wow there is a theme going on tonight. Just maybe I need to go to bed. This is my entree for the crafty sentiments sketch challenge
I used Flopsy in the rain, I so love this digi! He is way too cute. I colored the image with my Close to my Heart markers, the went over them with the blending pen, just to make it softer. I also put Liquid Glass on the rain drops and puddle, just to give it a little dimension. I used Martha Stewart ribbon, and the button is just a random button from my stash. All the paper is from Close to my Heart TopStich pack. Thanks for looking, have a great night.

This card I did for three challenges. The first challenge is for Sunday Sketch & Stamp and the second is for Crafty Sentiments Digis, and last but not least Paper Romance Challenges. All the dsp is from K & Company Berry Sweet paper pack. The Stamps and inks are from close to my heart. The stamp set is called Piece of cake, and I used Watermelon, ocean, and honey. I used a blender pen to make the bottom parts of each cake a lighter color. I also used pink stickles on the flowers on the bottom layer and on the cake stand.

So today I was told that a friend of the family had a stroke and is in the hospital. I decided since I had to make a get well card I might as well use it to enter a challenge. I am entering it into the Mygraffico Challenge. This challenge is glitz it up, anything glittery, shiny, metallic, etc. So I used glitter on the white swirls and rhinestones on the branches and three down the side. Thanks so much for looking! Hey everyone, its kinda late tonight so if there are spelling errors I do apologize! This card was created with all products from Close to my Heart. I used the Cherry-o paper pack, I do so love this paper! The bowl of cherries and the falling cherries are from the Bowl of cherries stamp set. The sentiments are from the Because of you stamp set. So I am entering this one into three challenges. Taylored Expression sketch #122, Crafty Sentimesnts digis three dsp challenge, and the Crafty Sentiments embossing challenge. So for the last challenge I stamped the falling cherries, then I hot embossed them with clear embossing powder, as well as the words my and blessed. Other then that the only special techniques that I used was I placed a small cut in the bowl so that my cherries were actually in the bowl and I used pop dots for the falling cherries and the dsp that the ssentiment is on.
Well now that I have went on and on I will bid you all a good night!

I have to be honest this was kinda hard for me, these aren't my go to colors. But I have to say after seeing some of the other cards made for this challenge it just might be a go to color format for me. I sure enjoyed do this card, even if it di take a couple of days.
